Does the recent drug-related violence in metro make you nervous for your own safety?

I live in Highfield Park so how can it be any worse than it is now. There are always robberies, drugs, some guns and loads of violince here a lot of times so why worry about some quiet place like Spryfield.

Of course it does. Not much wonder people like me stay as far away from Halifax as possible. The police talk about getting tough while the Liberal-appointed judges undermine the efforts of the police. But of course, we all forget that lawyers and the legal field have a vested interest in crime; after all, the legal field is a business, and crime, etc. is good for business.

I wonder how much investigating take,s place into the drug,s for sale outside and inside a clinic on Gottigen St.The police are either afraid or blind, which one.

I'm not nervous, but I'd like to have the ability to do something should I wind up in the middle of a gunfight. Of course, as a non-criminal, I'd be the only one without a gun because in Canada, it's both illegal and unpopular to want to defend yourself.

I live in Highfield as well and I don't find it that bad if you use common sense. I do see a problem with people shooting people at a childrens hospital or a pizza place at supper time. These are places and non drug related people frequent as well and someone innocent is going to get hurt over these shananigans!

I live in Spryfield, and my oldest son goes to the Boys & Girls club, which is located behind Jessys pizza. He was present when the first shooting occurred. So yes, I'm understandably upset. He's not going there anymore, and we're keeping him very close to him.

Too bad these idiots wouldn't just head to a woods road and shoot each other there. :(
